We got rear-ended on I-25 tonight. Our bouldering pad, which we keep in the back of the van, might have saved our daughters. Luckily no one was hurt in the whole accident. A few cars were totaled though. The pad is still stuck in our van. The other car got hit by the same guy after we got hit.

Woah, scary. I wonder how much impact the pad really took! I'm glad everyone came out ok.
i'm glad everyone is ok! scarrryyy. i always tell my spotters when highball bouldering, the real risk here is the drive home. I guess this is true and I'm glad my trunk has big pads! Glad you guys are safe.
Thanks guys. It was scary. The worst moment was turning to look back at the girls right after getting hit, not knowing what I would see. It was so good to see they were OK. My neck is sore today, but everyone is doing alright. The pad is completely stuck in the wreckage. We've been in contact with the guy's insurance and it looks like they will pay for the car, and a new pad as well.
super glad everyone's ok!
i call dibbs on the "wrecked" pad.
MAN, I'm glad to hear you guys are ok. That is really intense and scary.
glad it seems like everyone is OK. that is the most important thing.
scary. did this happen on the way back from climbing?
I'm glad everyone's alright. Maybe Organic should branch out to bumpers.
We were coming back from a birthday party in Denver when the crash occurred, but we did get a short session in at Hobo Cave Sunday morning. Ashley did "Fill Your Hole" which was her main project. I fell off the last hard move of Hobo Cave Traverse 3 times. The pad has been retrieved, and sorry Sock Hands, but we're keeping it. We won't drive without it. Organic could have a new market here.
